Please help my wife fight cancer
My wife Devita has been told that after a year long fight with Breast Cancer in 2019, that it has returned and spread to her lungs.
She will need Chemotherapy for the rest of her life and a family friend has setup a Gofundme that will hopefully cover the first year of her treatment.
Please help her fight cancer by giving what you can, and sharing the links below:

Help Devita with her 2nd cancer battle, organized by Evi Lanasier
My dear friend Devita is always full of life, even in the most challenging times of her life. Devita Supardi Deane is…
I’ve also made a video that will help share her fundraiser and hopefully, get her closer to covering her treatment costs.
And lastly, here’s what I say in the video…
From me, directly to you
This is a video I never thought I would have to make
But I need your help…
This is my wife Devita
In 2019, she was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer
After chemotherapy, radiotherapy, a mastectomy, multiple surgeries and complications, she was told she was technically cancer free
A year later, where we are now… she’s been told that the cancer has metastasised and spread to her lungs
You can imagine how hard this was for her to hear. How hard it was for me, for everyone we know and especially our daughter Aisha was to hear as well. This is like the universe is collapsing all around her.
Now, we live in Australia and although New Zealand citizens, like Aisha and I can access the public health system here called Medicare, Devita can’t because she’s an Indonesian Citizen who is here on a Subclass 461 visa, that allows her to be with a New Zealand partner.
This means, that even though I’ve been working here and paying taxes for 20 years and Devita has been here since 2007, building a life around herself. Her private health insurer doesn’t cover the cost of the chemotherapy drugs she needs, and we have to pay for them ourselves
The first time she fought this, the treatment lasted for a year and even though it cleaned out our savings and took most of my salary every fortnight, we managed to afford the treatment with help from friends and family
This time, the treatment will be ongoing for the rest of her life, or until the cancer hopefully goes into remission
This time, Devita, Aisha, our friends and family and I, need your help
So a family friend has setup a Gofundme for Devita that will hopefully help cover the first year of her treatment. Please go to this link, which I’ll also put into the description of this video to find out about her journey, and just give what you can
Right now, I know the world is going through so much and people are doing it tough all around us, so if you’re not able to donate, then please share the fundraiser with whoever you can, friends, family, your social and work networks.
Any amount and anything you can do would be amazing, would give Devita hope and hopefully keep her here, with us for many years to come
Thank you in advance, thank you for listening and I’ll see you soon.
